First step of a believer is to believe. Jesus called people to follow Him, as to believe Him. Jesus said everything is possible for Him who believe (Mark 9:23). Paul said believe in Jesus Christ and you will be saved (Acts 16:31). So when you believe in Christ you become believer of Christ.
