You must have remember that before going on Cross Jesus was praying in gethsemane. He was praying in the Start, to get success at end. As He knows its written "for in death there is no remembrance of You; In the grave who will give You thanks?" (Psalm 6:5). So Jesus prayed in the Start, to get success over death in end. 

       So always pray in the Start as bible says "in all your ways acknowledge him, and He shall direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:6) that will cause success in end.
