The Levitical system was kept the worshipers at a distance from God. Only the High Priest could enter the Holy of Holies once in the year on the day of Atonement, after sacrifice for his own sins. No other people go nigh to God. This distance can not be filled until God Himself abolish it.

     But the sacrifice of Jesus gave us better hope of the Superior Covenant of "Grace". In which we get a High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek, which enable us to draw near to God.

     Grace of God destroyed the Weak and Unprofitable commandment and gave us a High Priest who is Holy, Innocent, Undefiled, Separated from Sinner and higher than the Heaven. Nothing can remove Him from that office. As long as He is there in Heaven for us we have access to God through Him.
