We think testing of the Spirit is too difficult. Some people think that for this he or she might have to become detective and some mistrust everyone. But you need not worry for all this because solution is already in the Bible. Apostles had warned the church time to time through their letters that many false ministers would came in end time. The Holy Spirit also gave the guidelines to test the spirit by the apostle John. When anyone comes to you with the name of the Lord, you can test him on these criteria: -

1. Confession Test - Test that whether he believes Jesus as God, whether he believes He came in flesh, whether he believes Jesus died on the Cross, burial in the grave and resurrect from the dead or not.  

2. Love Test - Jesus taught in His teachings to love God and man. Test whether this love is in that person or not.

3. Obedience Test - Who accept Jesus Christ but does not keep His commandments is a liar. Test him whether he walks like Jesus or not.
